Setting up Google Drive on a Rapidmooc Studio

This document details the installation and setup of the Google Drive Windows client for use with the Rapidmooc application.
Installation of Google Drive client
Open a browser and navigate to https://www.google.com/drive/download/
Then click on the Download Drive for desktop button as in the capture below:
Once the download is completed, launch the GoogleDrive setup program from the windows explorer
Proceed with the installation process until it is completed.
Authentication with your google user account
When asked to, sign in with the google account you want to use with your Rapidmooc studio.
Adding the shared directory
Once signed in, open the Windows file explorer and create a new folder in the Documents directory. You can name it whatever you want but please note that it will be the name of the folder in Google Drive.
Then right-click on the new folder and select “Sync or Backup this folder” in the pop-up menu as below:
Once the folder is added to your Google Drive, click the save button to confirm:
Exporting videos to your Google Drive
Launch the Rapidmooc application and select a video. On the video player screen, click on the “Share” button and open the “Documents” folder.
Then select the shared folder and click on “Select” button to copy the video.
Loading contents from your Google Drive
Loading contents (teleprompter files, images,...) from Google Drive works the same way. Open the shared folder with Google Drive and select the file to load.
Accessing shared files online
All files dropped in the shared folder are available on your online once synchronized with the Google Drive storage. Please note that synchronization is only possible if your studio is connected to the internet.
Also, it is recommended to rename "My Computer" with a more explicit name such as "Rapidmooc Studio" as below.
