Changing the motherboard battery

Version 1.1 – July 2021

it is important to recognise that if your Rapidmooc studio has been out of commission for a significant period of time, you

might experience issues when starting it. For example, the PC might not turn on  when pressing the studio's main switch.

This is due to the discharged motherboard battery and it might be necessary to replace

The following steps explain to you how to do so:

Battery needed

The battery needed is a battery CR2032

Steps to replace the battery

1. Turn off the Rapidmooc studio.

2. Unplug the studio's attached computer and remove the cover (unscrew the screws that keep the cover attached to the unit).

3. Remove the old motherboard battery using the small press button located on the

side (see image below).

5. Turn on the computer and enter the BIOS by pressing F2 (or FN + F2 depending on your keyboard version).

6. At this stage, it is necessary to update the date and time of the BIOS. Click on the cog icon next to the time as shown below and enter the correct date.

7.  It is then necessary to restore the automatic boot of the computer

8.  Click on “Advanced mode”

9. Click on the “Advanced” tab and then select APM Configuration

10. Switch Restore AC PowerLoss to 'Power On'

11.  Click on EXIT to save and reboot.
